May believes that one of the best habits a person could develop is taking care of one’s health and she enjoys helping to support that person’s journey. As an enthusiastic student of health and well-being, she is always eager to learn and includes different modalities, tools, and protocols in her practice to better tailor the treatment to the individuals’ wellness and recovery goals.
With more than 15 years experience, May has worked in many different settings from spas and multidisciplinary clinics, to on-site visits to homes, work places, and event locations where she is able to incorporate modalities such as cupping, taping, fascial stretch therapy, and acupuncture. She is experienced in a variety of massages techniques including pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue and sports massage.
When she is not in the clinic, she can often be found somewhere near water. Look for her under water teaching scuba diving (PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and HSA Instructor), on water practicing her new favourite activity of stand-up paddle boarding, or beside the water when she volunteers as a Level 5 Master Swim Official with Swimming Canada helping to keep the competition safe and fair for the athletes.
